This sturdy, well made, 5 drawer walnut dresser manufactured by Kroehler has been transformed into a powerful showpiece representing Lady Justice.
She is often depicted with a blindfold, scales, and a sword. Although she isn't wearing a blindfold, her eyes are closed to signify that justice should not be influenced by personal opinions or biases, but rather on facts and evidence. The scales represent the weighing of evidence ensuring a fair decision. The sword symbolizes the power to uphold justice, including the power to punish wrongdoing. The 3D sword that hangs at her hip on an actual chain was cast in resin and painted adding an extra touch of realism to the design.
The universe wraps around the sides and the top serving as a reminder that we are just small pieces of a much greater picture. The sides of the drawers displaying different constellations. The inside of the drawers have been conditioned for added protection.
